The Smrka Bay Resort project was conceived as a contemporary tourist resort seamlessly integrated into the unique Mediterranean landscape of the island of Brač. Located along the coastline of the Adriatic Sea, the resort is envisioned as a combination of luxury hospitality, sustainable architecture and a sensitive relationship with the natural environment. The architectural concept is based on respecting the site’s topography and preserving the visual identity of the landscape, creating a destination that offers guests an exclusive stay experience in direct connection with nature.

Architecture Shaped by the Landscape

The spatial organisation of the resort carefully follows the natural terrain, with building volumes arranged in cascading formations along the coastline and hillside. Dynamic forms and horizontal architectural lines emphasise the connection with the surrounding landscape while enabling open sea views from the majority of accommodation units. The project is characterised by a contemporary architectural expression focused on spatial fluidity, clean geometric forms and a balanced relationship between the built environment and nature.
