Zagreb World Center

Zagreb World Center is envisioned as a contemporary urban landmark that redefines the central area of Trešnjevka through a strong architectural identity and a rich mixed-use program. The project carefully interpolates a new urban structure into the existing city fabric, creating a dynamic blend of office, retail, and residential uses.

Architectural composition and spatial dynamics

The complex forms a strong urban frontage along the main thoroughfare, while vertical volumes rise into clearly recognizable towers with generously landscaped terraces. The architecture is based on the contrast between transparent glass volumes and more solid residential structures, creating layered spatial dynamics and a rhythmic urban facade. A particular emphasis is placed on vertical greening and the integration of vegetation into the building structure, giving the project a distinctive ecological and visual character. Green balconies and terraces form a vertical “urban forest,” improving the microclimate and enhancing the quality of living within the dense urban environment.

Public Space and Urban Experience

Activated ground floors with retail spaces and public areas transform the base of the complex into a vibrant urban stage, while pedestrian connections and open plazas enable natural movement and social interaction. Rooftop volumes and public terraces further enrich the spatial experience and connect the city with new perspectives. Zagreb World Center goes beyond the conventional concept of a business center – it creates a new urban microcosm that unites architecture, economy, and everyday life into a cohesive architectural whole, establishing a new development focal point for western Zagreb.
