The Lobor Senior Center is a residential facility for the elderly designed with a focus on tailored living, high functionality, and spatial quality. The architecture does more than define the building – it creates an environment of safety, comfort, and everyday dignity for its residents.

Architectural concept and identity

The articulated building volume breaks down the overall mass into smaller units, achieving a homely rather than institutional character. The spatial organization allows for clear orientation, short circulation paths, and a natural flow of movement, all adapted to the needs of older adults.

Spatial organization and interiors

Interiors are designed according to principles of accessibility, ergonomics, and safety. Spaces encourage social interaction while providing quiet zones for rest and privacy. Large glazed surfaces ensure ample natural light and visual connection to the outdoors, while landscaped gardens and pathways extend the interior spaces.

Outdoor areas and quality of life

Material choices rely on warm, pleasant, and durable finishes, creating a calming, home-like atmosphere. Outdoor areas are designed as therapeutic landscapes, featuring greenery, seating, and sheltered zones for outdoor activities. Lobor Senior Center is conceived as a place for living, not just care – an architectural response to the contemporary needs of the elderly, where the quality of space directly enhances the quality of daily life.
