This is a small winery in northern part of Croatia. It's surrounded by a hilly countryside. The site is located 350 m above sea level and has magnificent views of the landscape which are determined by the position of the openings in the dense walls.
On level 1 (underground area) there is a wine cellar, wine production, grape storage and a warehouse for bottles of wine. Level 2 is the tasting, marketing and relaxation area. Level 3 is a gallery area where you can enjoy your private and intimate time with loved ones and spend some time on the countryside. The floor area is 600 sqm.
In shaping the volume we referred to old traditional architecture that was typical 200 years ago in this country area. The aim was to achieve convergence of the natural and artificial surfaces and spaces, so that was why we formed large glass walls which were frames for the landscape view of the vineyards of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Traminer. We used natural materials such as wooden planks.
We also used old recycled bricks and natural concrete.
The construction materials are concrete, concrete blocks and wood.
